Passengermotor mount leaks and is an easy $60 replacement. There was a recall on the pcv. Found out if it was replaced. Otherwise another easy $50 fix. Find out when the plugs were last done. Valve cover gasket tends to leak,
The2008-2011 generation Focus uses a completely different and far more reliable transmission from the current generation. That is unusually low mileage, and probably worth the asking price if it's in good shape and was well maintained. Check the blue book before making an offer.
Thatbeing said, compared to the competition, the 2013 Ford Focus suffers from a poor reliability rating, plenty of transmission problems, and clunky controls.
Goodday Reddit, I'm highly interested in buying a 2016 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost manual. (had a 2013 w/ the awful shuddering trans). Just google 1.0 ecoboost - nothing but praises. I own a mk3.5(facelift) 5 gear manual Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost 100bhp, and I'm currently just over 50000km. Bought it brand new in 2016, and I only changed
Inshort, they're very reliable. I do about 25k miles a year, and so far the only issue I've had is a bad half shaft bearing. Currently @ almost 50k. I change the oil every 5k, and rotate the tires every 10k, and that's about it. The only real complaint I have with the car is the paint, especially on the front end.

Ifyou don't know how to drive a stick, get the Focus and learn on it. With a stick, it's one of the most fun cars in its class: great handling and a decent transmission (coulda used a six-speed). It also sports a very forgiving clutch, both on uptake and reliability - I'm at 113k miles on the original clutch in my car, and no signs of fading.
